In the village of Aravell, you can find Cal Gol, one of the oldest family seats.

We have renovated the threshing floor area as it was in the past and have incorporated a more modern garden, barbecues, and on the threshing floor itself, some surprising tables: for table tennis and table football. At the back, an old feeding trough where you will be able to discover the ancient tools used for farming work in the past. A room has been set to exhibit the tools for eating and preparing foods, to preserve them and cook them; and right next to it, a small cellar to taste some of the typical high mountain liquors.

On December 2007, we finished rebuilding El Graner del Gol (the first house built in the present village of Aravell; for the oldest people of the village, it is still called “the new house”).

El Graner has its main entrance in a room which we intend to adapt as a Museum. This cosy house has been renovated and decorated with the maximum respect for its age and history. Our aim is to remind or discover to our guests of an ancient time, but with the present day comforts. Inside the house, we can see the granary, the ferrader, the window seat and some small collections of objects classified according to its area of use.

Regarding the distribution of the house, at the entrance there is an old washtub and a double room with a toilet. On the upper floor, there is a bathroom, the kitchen, the dining room and a sitting room with a fireplace. And finally, in the old attic, we have placed a double room with a terrace.
